Glazing Bars

11.1 Glazing bars are supplied as 10m bar lengths (2x5m) with 13m tape - the tape will need to be bonded to the lengths of the bar

11.2 Once the glass is fully installed, ensure the glass is clean (we recommend using a saline solution or glass primer)

11.3 Measure the gap between glass divides and cut the glazing bars to suit

11.4 Clean the underside of the glazing bar using a saline solution or primer

11.5 Place tape on the underside of the glazing bar, ensuring it remains central along the bar (we recommend that a roller is used for this to ensure strongest bond)

11.6 Before removing the red backing, offer the bars up to the glass and check for size, trim as required

11.7 Remove red backing of the tape and press bar firmly onto the glass

12.1 Check you have all the parts

Sliding casing
6 x 4.8 (19-20mm) Self-tapping screws

12.2 Prop the door open to its maxium desired opening angle (FIG 12A)

12.3 Ensure the slider stop is engaged by placing (FIG 12B) against a hard surface and pushing down on the restrictor arm - this will require some force and should result in a click (the restrictor arm should no longer be able to slide up and down the slider housing once this step has been completed)

12.4 Fit the sash pivot to the top of the door 60mm from the end of the black polyamide strip on the hinge side using two of the screws provided - the sash pivot should be fitted onto the black polyamide strip tight against the aluminium on the inner side of the sash (FIG 12C)

12.5 Insert the slider casing into the top track making sure it is still connected to the sash pivot in the location shown (FIG 12D) - fix into place using the remaining four screws provided (a 4mm pilot hole is required when fixing into the Low Threshold)

13.1 When fixing up through the threshold into a fixed above ensure to use 19mm length flanged screws

13.2 The round fixing plugs require a 30mm hole to be drilled into the polyamide from the glazing chamber - the plugs can then rotate to adjust the position of the fixing screw

13.3 Sufficient screws and fixings are provided to allow fixings 150mm from the edge and every 450mm along the profile

Finishing Up

14.1 Insert fixing plugs provided into the 13mm holes drilled into the jambs

14.2 We recommend you use expanding foam to fill the gaps between the outer frame and building on all four sides

NOTE: The weather seal around the outer frame to the building is the responsibility of the installer - sealant and trim kits are available tpp purchase from Origin
