Glazing
3.1 All insulated glass units should be examined for damages and defects before installation
3.2 Close the window and fully engage the lock
3.3 The beading should be removed from the sashes, ensuring that it is kept organised for relocation into the same positions during glazing
3.4 Place the required packers in the bottom of the glazing chamber spaced approximately 50mm in from each corner at 90° to the window (FIG 3A)
3.5 Install the glass on the packers, taking care not to pinch the gasket on the outside (FIG 3A)
3.6 For safety, always ensure the top bead is installed first, followed by the bottom and then the side beads (FIG 3B)
3.7 Cut the glazing gasket to length and insert between the glass unit and the glazing bead (FIG 3B)
NOTE: Start with steps 3.1 - 3.3
4.1 Place the required packer in the bottom, hinged corner
4.2 For casement windows with glazing divides, pack as shown (FIG 4A)
4.3 Install the glass on to the packers, taking care not to pinch the gasket on the outside
4.4 Insert further packers to pack diagonally across the glass ensuring inner and outer layers of glass are supported (FIG 4A)
4.5 Reinstall the glazing beads
4.6 Repeat steps within each glass section following the order 1a, 1b, 1c…
4.7 All middle sections of glass have an extra packer as shown - the bottom section has no side packers (FIG 4A)
